Gift mode or self mode: which one should you pick?
The same calendar plays very differently depending on who hides the rewards. Here is how to choose in thirty seconds.
Gift mode
You are the host. The calendar and the host guide arrive to you, you hide the rewards, and the player never sees the guide. This is the full experience and it is what most people buy.
Self mode
You are both host and player. You fill the numbered boxes yourself, then play on the honor system: no challenge, no reward. It works better than it sounds, especially with a Classic Pocket calendar where the reward sits in the box.
